Alan Kohn & Bob Murray Receive Award for 2011 Missouri Top Defense Win

Missouri Lawyers Weekly named Alan Kohn and Bob Murray as recipients of the prestigious Missouri Lawyers Award for the “Top Defense Win of 2011.”  For over 12 years, Alan and Bob were St. Louis counsel for Philip Morris USA in St. Louis City Circuit Court where numerous hospitals sought recovery from the major tobacco companies of over $500 million in uncompensated care costs that they claimed were attributable to smoking.  In April 2011, a jury returned defendants’ verdicts on all counts.  Missouri Lawyers Weekly honored all the award recipients at a luncheon at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.
