John Riccione Participates in Austin School Career Day

November 18, 2011

Co-Managing Member John Riccione recently spoke to a group of 8th graders at the Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School on November 8th during their 4th annual Career Day. While visiting with these students, John announced firm plans to stay involved with Catalyst Circle Rock school by partnering firm attorneys with students interested in legal careers. His participation was featured in the AustinTalks newsletter and can be read here: http://austintalks.org/2011/11/austin-school-celebrates-career-day

The Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School has partnered with the Austin community in Chicago to offer K–8 students an educational setting that will nurture academic, social, and emotional growth. “There is nothing like the morning greeting at Catalyst, when each student is greeted with
a handshake and a “Good Morning, _______”. When you speak with these students, you immediately sense their confidence and enthusiasm to succeed. As business leaders, we owe it to them, and to our communities, to foster their growth and expose them to the limitless opportunities of possible career choices. Here is an inner-city school where record numbers of its first graduating class have been accepted into highly selective high schools and will, no doubt, similarly succeed in being admitted into some of the nation’s best universities. The very least we can do is to devote some of our time and talents helping these very bright students, who have overcome adversity from the day they were born, visualize and achieve their dreams. As a corporate citizen in the Chicagoland area for almost 120 years, it is incumbent on our law firm to give back to our communities and those that can use our assistance,” said John.

John Riccione focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation. He counsels individual and corporate clients on a variety of business matters, including commercial contract and land disputes, construction litigation, sales commission disputes, trade secret law, and personnel matters.
