Wendel Rosen Adds Employment Attorney Evelin Bailey
OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 18, 2015 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, one of the largest law firms in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the region, announces that Evelin Y. Bailey has joined the firm as an associate in its Employment Practice Group. Bailey was most recently an attorney with Burnham Brown in Oakland.

Bailey’s practice focuses on defending employers in suits alleging anti-discrimination and wage and hour violations. Her experience also includes representing employers faced with immigration worksite enforcement investigations related to the Form I-9. Bailey has represented companies before various state, federal, and administrative tribunals, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Labor Commissioner’s Office, the Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices. In addition to her litigation experience, Bailey prepares policies and procedures and advises employers on a wide range of employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, workplace diversity, and leave entitlements. Prior to practicing in California, she practiced in Texas for a number of years and maintains a license in both states.
Bailey is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, Alameda County Bar Association, and Texas State Bar. She earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center (2006) and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2003).
