Wendel Rosen Expands Employment Practice with Addition of Attorney Yasmeen "Yas" Omidi

OAKLAND, Calif., Apr. 13, 2015 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, one of the largest law firms in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the region, welcomes Yas Omidi as an associate to its Employment Practice Group. Her addition follows veteran Partner Margaret J. Grover, who joined the group last year. Omidi’s most recent positions include serving as an associate at Morison & Prough, LLP, as well as at Littler Mendelson, PC in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Omidi’s employment practice includes representing clients in wage-and-hour class actions and harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. She also has experience in insurance coverage disputes, as well as other commercial contract matters. Omidi has represented clients before state, federal and administrative tribunals.

 

Omidi is a member of the State Bar of California, and Alameda County and Contra Costa County Bar Associations, as well as the Iranian American Bar Association. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Law, formerly Boalt Hall School of Law (2007), where she served as managing editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. She earned her B.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley (2001).
