Wendel Rosen Partner Anagha Dandekar Clifford Honored Among San Francisco Business Times' Prestigious 40 Under 40
OAKLAND, Calif., Mar. 30, 2015 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP congratulates Land Use Partner Anagha Dandekar Clifford on her inclusion in the San Francisco Business Times’ “40 Under 40” class of 2015, which honors Bay Area rising business stars across all industries. Inductees were recognized at a special reception on March 19 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Clifford counsels private businesses and public agencies on complex land use issues involving applicable planning, zoning and environmental laws. Her experience includes preparing land use applications and obtaining project approvals, working frequently with state and local regulatory and permitting agencies. In her public agency practice, Clifford provides counsel and advocacy on permitting/public bidding and contract disputes, governance, election, transportation and regulatory matters. She currently represents a high-profile planning and development team in exploring how to create a transportation-oriented community development that retains the Raiders, the Warriors and/or the A’s in Oakland. She also serves as legal counsel to several Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts and represents the Alameda County Transportation Commission on issues related to governance and policy.
Actively involved in her industry and community, Clifford is currently part of an effort to open a San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR) office in Oakland and sits on the organization’s inaugural board. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Infill Federation, as land use chair of the Downtown Oakland Community Benefit District, on the steering committee of 2.Oakland and on the Board of Directors of the Marcus Foster Education Fund. Clifford also advises the East Bay Economic Development Alliance on general legal issues. She is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association, South Asian Bar Association and Asian American Bar Association.
Clifford earned her J.D. from the University of California at Davis, King Hall School of Law (2004) and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1998).
