Cynde Munzer Appointed as Liasion to the ABA Commission for Women in the Profession
Aronberg Goldgehn is pleased to announce that firm member Cynde Munzer was recently appointed as a Liaison to the ABA Commission for Women in the Profession for her work with Vision 2020.
The ABA Commission for Women in the Profession has served as a national voice for women lawyers and has led the efforts to overcome the persistent obstacles impeding the advancement of women in the legal profession. Drawing upon the expertise and the diverse backgrounds of members and liaisons, the Commission develops programs, policies and publications to assist women in public and private practice, the judiciary, and academia.
“I am looking forward to working closely with the Commission, in conjunction with the Vision 2020 leadership, in order to address gender equality issues on a nationwide basis within the legal profession,” said Ms. Munzer.
Vision 2020 was launched last year by Drexel University’s College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Vision 2020’s 10-year action agenda is working to bring the entire country closer to gender equality by 2020 to mark the centennial of the 19th amendment. Ms. Munzer serves as co-chair of the Chicago Host Committee for the Vision 2020 2011 Congress which will be October 11-13 in Chicago.
