Nicholas J. Bakatsias and Robert N. Young Named Directors at Carruthers & Roth, P.A.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth, P.A, is pleased to announce that attorneys Nicholas J. Bakatsias and Robert N. Young have been named directors at the firm, effective January 1, 2014.

Nicholas J. Bakatsias is a member of the firm’s Business, Tax & Estate practice group and focuses much of his practice on taxation - formulating tax-planning strategies and representing both individuals and businesses in state and federal tax controversies. He also works in various areas of business law, supporting mergers, acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, as well as private equity ventures and private placement transactions. Nick earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from Duke University in 2002 and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 2005. Nick also received a LL.M. in taxation from University of Miami School of Law in 2006.
Robert N. Young works with the firm’s Litigation department and his practice spans commercial matters, landlord-tenant matters, insurance defense, construction matters, and medical malpractice defense. He frequently joins his colleagues at Carruthers & Roth in representing physicians, physician groups and other medical professionals in negligence actions and risk management issues including HIPAA compliance. In addition to healthcare professionals, Robert’s clients include insurance companies, landlords, construction professionals, employers and employees. He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2000 and his J.D. from Campbell University School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2006.
