Procopio Announces Fernando Anzaldua is Recipient of Summer 2012 Native American Law Internship

The Native American Practice Group of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP is pleased to welcome to the firm the latest recipient of the Procopio Native American Law Internship, Fernando Anzaldua. Mr. Anzaldua joined the firm on June 18th and will be working through August 17th. He was selected from a pool of 27 applicants from law schools from around the country with Native American law programs, including Arizona State University, Cornell University, Northern Kentucky University, Seattle University, The College of William & Mary, The University of Arizona, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, The University of Oklahoma, University of North Dakota, University of San Diego, and University of Washington.
Mr. Anzaldua is currently pursuing an Indian Legal Certificate and Juris Doctorate at ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, scheduled to graduate in May 2013. He is a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation, is involved in the ASU Native American Law Students Association, Pro Bono Chairman of the Chicano/Latino Law Students Association, and Associate Editor of Law Journal for Social Justice. Last summer, he was recipient of the American Bar Association Judicial Internship Opportunity Program in Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County, and during his school year he has worked for the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest.
