Steve Edison of Law Weathers Named President-Elect for West Michigan ALA
GRAND RAPIDS, MI, April 30, 2012 — Law Weathers is pleased to announce that Steve Edison will serve as President-Elect of the West Michigan Association of Legal Administrators (WMALA), effective June 1, 2012.
Steve joined Law Weathers in May 2011 as Chief Operating Officer, providing extensive experience in finance and administration. He has worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and also served executive administrative and finance functions in both nonprofit and for-profit enterprises.
As a Grand Rapids native and past Michigan chapter president of the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA), Steve looks forward to lending his experience to the region’s legal profession. “With a business perspective from both private and nonprofit enterprises as well as public sector service, I hope my diverse experience will add additional value to an already strong organization,” he said.
Steve is also the former mayor of East Grand Rapids, where he resides with his wife and two daughters. “He is in his second term on the East Grand Rapids Board of Education, currently serving as Secretary.”
